The Accomplishments of Meditation (011-2 Sunday 10/24/1954)
Meditation is key to developing our character. What is character but the quality of consciousness made manifest. We cannot change the consciousness without touching higher frequencies, higher envisionment, higher realizations, higher channelings, realized only through meditation.

Christ's Star-like Spirit (015-1 Sunday 12/19/1954)
During Christmas there are openings into the Reality of Christ wherever there is appreciation for goodness. By following His path, remaining open and aligned to that which is above us, we will be raised in consciousness. The triad of Holy God powers that The Christ came to radiate and teach us, will become more active in us and gradually govern us.
Toward the Development of Creativity (017-1 Sunday 1/23/1955)
We need to have more of the realization of the creativity powers which are inherent within us. The soul is the source of inspired ideas, in tune with the causal world - the reservoir of God's light, Godıs information, all the archetypes of the future and past.
The Power of Words (020-1 Sunday 3/20/1955)
Our words affect others and we are accountable for every word we utter. Count Alfred Korzybski, the founder of the Science of Semantics, studied the use of words and their effect on others. Stuart Chase made a study of the word idealism. We must speak according to the standards of spiritual truth. We are, to a certain extent, co-workers with God.
The Value of Group Consciousness (023-2 Sunday 6/12/1955)
We should be interested in every cause that is just, in every cause that speaks for a greater good up to which mankind must climb. Since one person is limited in his means, in his mentality, in his strength, it takes many working together for mankind to know the great blessing that cooperation can bring.
Living in Tune with the Eternal (017-2 Sunday 8/14/1955)
Flower describes the importance in living in tune with Eternity Consciousness rather than just from the mind and body.
The Kingdom of the Shining Ones (020-2 Sunday 12/4/1955)
Flower describes the great love and caring of these higher beings and all the benefits Angels bring to mankind and the planet. She shares examples of Angels as found in the Bible and other forms of literature. She shares experiences she and others have had first hand with these magnificent and Holy Ones. But most of all, she brings the reality of these high Presences to the forefront of our consciousness.
The Heart of Christmas (036-1 Sunday 12/25/1955)
The more we worship Christ, the more He dominates the center of our consciousness, because we choose to be Christ-led, Christ-centered. The gift we give Him each year is our self; deepened, widened, opened more receptively, made more sympathetic, made more appreciative to His vast and eternal ministry.
Increasing Our Appreciation of God in Nature Retreat (3 of 3): Consciousness Side of the Mysteries of Nature (051-1 Sunday 6/24/1956)
When in nature we must practice unification, adoration and wonder. Quotes and experiences in nature from mystics and naturalists. Sufi teaching regarding various stages of consciousness. Days have cyclic changes just as the year has seasons.
Discovering Gateways into Light (056-1 Sunday 7/22/1956)
Meditation is the most fertile and the most effectual way by which God can be approached. Meditation is spiritual concentration, requiring we empty ourselves, create the right mood, practice stillness and envision positive archetypes. Examples of keynotes to bring us to positive attention. Meditation is a perpetual return to God, our inner sanctuary.
Let Us Love All (058-1 Sunday 9/30/1956)
Those souls who are surcharged with the spaciousness and the inclusive consciousness of goodwill want to know and to understand and to love all. All of us, as we are traveling on the path to our Lord Christ, must recognize that we must move from the personal to the impersonal and from the impersonal to the universal. And we must move consciously, willingly and eagerly to open up our hearts.
Being True to Ourselves (058-2 Sunday 10/7/1956)
If you could think of persons in this world who had inspired you the most individually and directly I wonder if the definition of the quality that came to you most strongly was not one of goodwill. Those souls that are surcharged with the spaciousness and the inclusive consciousness of goodwill have learned many lessons. They dwell in areas of width that so many people never know anything about until they themselves want to know and to understand and to love all.
We Live on Many Levels Simultaneously (052-2 Sunday 3/10/1957)
Often during our own individual moments before God we become awake to this same experience of feeling one in us who is larger than our surface self. This larger presence gives us a key and a prompting to living a greater life and channeling a deeper and more inclusive love.
Healing As Practiced on Various Levels of Consciousness (067-1 Sunday 5/5/1957)
Healing is important because of the background that is entailed in the meaning of wholeness. Great unity between religion, medicine, and psychology to speed the work of man's attaining wholeness. Paracelsus said sickness was a result of man's own inner contentions. God uses many channels to bring forth great light, many venues of healing. There's only one Healer, and one healing Power, and that is God, but these are auxiliary means. (LA lecture)
An Endeavor towards Awakenment (073-1 Sunday 8/4/1957)
As we practice qualifications of becoming aware, which is reverence and opening a lifeline of spiritual contact or communion between the invisible and the manifest visible world, we cannot help but grow and discover glimpses of greater awareness. Give first attention to God, lifting up and giving ourselves each day to the Supreme, to channel, correct, transform, enliven, bless and heal. The more reverent we are, the more sensitive, more informed intuitionally we can become.
Changing our Level of Being (075-1 Sunday 9/8/1957)
Describes Maurice Nicoll's four states of consciousness of mankind: Sleep of dreams; awakening; self-observation; masterhood-the achievement of objective consciousness. Notes that we would not desire change if there were not current powers, gifts that would enable us to achieve these realizations. There are hosts of individuals who have gone the path of spiritual evolution, who have achieved wholeness. From these beings comes an eternal heritage to us. Their impacts are constantly challenging us to desire change until we ourselves have achieved Masterhood.
Living More Consciously (080-1 Sunday 10/6/1957)
Flame in the Mind (097-1 Sunday 10/5/1958)
Nature's Eternal Refreshment (111-1 Sunday 6/7/1959)
The great outdoors offers inward peace and benediction to all who will go out of their homes into their great expansiveness, for here God truly is to be felt more closely, more intimately, more gloriously, more shiningly than in almost any other sphere where we will find Him. Great naturalists introduce us to a new consciousness and a new dimension. Flower shares several examples of naturalists inspirational writings, as well as true experiences of animal lovers who have taken wildlings into their homes.
Your Mind Can Be Free (112-2 Sunday 7/5/1959)
Postscript to Christmas (121-2 Sunday 12/27/1959)
Christmas is such a high planetary experience. It is a perpetual baptism of spirit. Christmas can only be celebrated from the soul. We should deeply consider taking a part of our work for the new year, the promise to love spiritually, think spiritually, and will spiritually. Christmas is aligned to these powers and reflections of spirit. We want only that love which is spiritual. Love which is emotional is prideful, exclusive, it is critical, it is selfish. This day is what the Christ spirit needs to have as outposts of its consciousness. If we become instruments of its force, we may be sure that the power will flow through if we have the instrument ready. Gifts should be given all year, not just at Christmas. Describes a trip to Allentown where she met cousins. Describes the use of a strong archtypal word to help us through an ordeal.
Adventures in Christian Mysticism (124-1 Sunday 2/21/1960)
Flower describes that it is through intuitional consciousness that we reach heightened states of God Awareness. The intellect must remain passive in order to attain expansive states of consciousness. Explains that the one thing that has kept Christianity alive since the time of Christ on earth is the creativity and works of the Christian Mystics. Mentions various mystics during history.
Studies in Greatness (3 of 3) (130-1 Sunday 5/29/1960)
In this third talk on 'greatness', Flower explains that before our evolution is finished, each of us must attain the spiritualizing of the will and self-surrender that characterizes true greatness. This talk focuses on the illumined Initiate of Light Emanual Swedenborg, his growing clairvoyance, his ability to tune into the inner worlds with full waking consciousness, his description of three main groupings in the inner world and his willingness to reveal to mankind the inner experience to which we will all graduate.
The Conquest of Small Temptations (145-1 Sunday 1/29/1961)
Temptation arises from the darkness. There is a side of life still unevolved, still primevally dark, and it is this side, which belongs to also the animalistic side of man, and has a linkage or correspondence with the carnal nature of every person, that it is forever endeavoring to pull man down, and resists all advances in consciousness, in behavior, in expression, all movements and endeavors that are upward lifting. This same type of darkness within us is that expression that makes us feel that things are a little bit too hard, that we have earned a rest, that we don't need to make sufficient effort.
How Thoughts Influence Life (in San Diego) (150-1 Sunday 4/23/1961)
Flower stresses the importance of being aware of and using rightly the power of our thoughts. You think a thought and it is a living thing. It is a moving thing. It is color. It is pattern. And the clearer your thought is in meditation or prayer, the larger the pattern of your thought will be as it moves along. If you are very reverent, your thought pattern will move up. It is very important for every Christian to arouse himself, to shake off the lethargy that has been upon him, and to see that his mind is fully dedicated to God because there is that above mind, which is much greater than mind, which will use all the forces of the mental powers in order to guide them, to instruct, to teach, to mold, to bless the energies of consciousness as well as of emotions and of the physical body and of the affairs in the world.
The Communion of the Holy Assembly (155-1 Sunday 6/25/1961)
The Reverend Flower Newhouse speaks of the more advanced orders of life which serve God and are yearning to be contacted by us and of our need to stretch our souls toward them to climb in consciousness. Explaining that Christianity has borrowed traditions from the older Jewish faith including from the esoteric portion of the Kabbalah called the Zohar, she discusses the advanced orders of Angels, Adepts, Masters and the Ancient of Days and Silent Watcher which are equivalent to the Logi.
Added Insights into Christian Mysticism (194-1 Sunday 7/22/1962)
Flower states that Christian Mysticism is the very aim and endeavor of every Christian heart. The questing Christian who is on fire with love for God is conscious of the fact that in Christian Mysticism is a path that leads to God and an awareness and total comprehension of the spirit that made us. Discusses mystical states of consciousness. Cites lives of mystics, including Alfred Tennyson, Simone Weil and Thomas Merton.
Applying the Immensity Consciousness (198-1 Sunday 9/2/1962)
When we think of the manner and the great generosity of God, the manner by which He has created this cosmos, we should be in perpetual astonishment, wonder, humility and deep appreciation. And we should think of our own lives being challenged by the greatness and the grandeur of the scale upon which God conceives. So by thinking of the immensity consciousness and of the bigness of life and applying that to the minute circumstances with which we deal, we can never feel limited. Included in this talk is a wonderful exercise to help expand one's immensity consciousness.
Seven Bodies Series (2 of 4): The Light Body: The Adonai (200-1 Sunday 9/23/1962)
We need to remember that we are a seven-fold being, that there are great altitudes of consciousness in us which we require in our daily living and which will bless us and give us help and talent if we will remember to call upon them. Flower describes these higher bodies, the Soul, Adonai and Monad, which overshadow us and influence us when our other faculties of mind, feelings and energy are stilled with holy reverence and spiritualized living.
Applying Universal Consciousness (211-1 Sunday 1/6/1963)
We are forever at work on the permanent structure of our own divine unfoldment. Work is involved when we choose to move forward. Higher states of consciousness indwell us inherently. Our whole evolutionary period should move from personal consciousness to universal consciousness. Goodness is primary and superior to truth. Truth is secondary and full of methods and theories, goodness is wisdom attained. Examples of goodness such as the good Samaritan; a Welch minister who saved a lamb; and a Japanese farmer saving a village are given. Universal consciousness changes us in regard to our spiritual will. Will is superior to theories of truth.
Living above the Visible (255-2 Sunday 7/26/1964)
States that our great purpose in this incarnation is to live above the visible plane; to have conscious affiliation with Divine world of spirit from which we came, to which we forever belong. Christ says the Kingdom of Heaven is within us; we are to increase awareness of these inner worlds. Psychology and parapsychology are increasing openness and sensitivity to them. Describes the training undertaken by Sufi mystics, travelers on the great path.
Having a Secret Formula for Life (256-2 Sunday 8/9/1964)
Flower teaches that we need a formula for our lives, something to spur us on to higher levels of consciousness. She also speaks of making medallions showing in symbols of our formula or credo. She gives many examples of successful people who have had a code or credo for their lives giving them purpose to achieve.
Dwell in Living Time (283-2 Sunday 7/11/1965)
Living cannot be improved unless we give spiritual attention to time. When we do that, then we make no more mistakes in calculating time unwisely or in wasting it or in being heedless of its vast privilege. God's gift to us is eternal life and that eternal life should begin right now in living time because it is a foretaste of our own immortality. And it brings us in alignment with the inner worlds, which we should know even before we enter them. It gives us the consciousness that makes us worthy to go home to God when we are ready.
Thought Dynamics (297-1 Sunday 1/16/1966)
Man's mind is his most potential as well as his most neglected instrument. We are responsible for our thoughts. Description of how our atoms are used when our physical life ends. Flower described three levels of our minds: sub-conscious, conscious, and super-conscious. Flower's advice to a woman suffering from depression. We should dwell in a consciousness of agelessness. Talk includes Flower and Lawrence's discovery of Questhaven. Description of forms, color and movement of our thoughts and prayers. We must erase negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones.
The Glorious Necessity of Balance (329-2 Sunday 5/21/1967)
In this insightful talk, we are given ideals to strive toward that will help us achieve balance in our lives. This is not only important for our physical existence here on earth, but as Flower explains, 'The great Masters, those who are perfected men and women, will accept no pupil who is not balanced, and this is because an individual who is balanced has control on every level in which he is interested. For that reason, then, we need interest and achievement on every level of our seven-fold nature, so that we may be able to be at peace and at home on the different planes of consciousness as we precipitate in this wonderful mystery of balance.'
The Scalpel of Decision (344-1 Sunday 11/26/1967)
We are continually faced with new decisions and our Higher Selves urge us to go into new areas of consciousness and live more highly. The practice of humility and self-surrender help us achieve higher consciousness. Flower explains nether, primal and summa states of consciousness.
Mankind's Great Goal (357-2 Sunday 3/31/1968)
Flower reveals that the goal of mankind is to know the source of his origin through illumination. She describes in great detail the five life waves of humanity on this earth, which began several millions of years ago, much longer than science has claimed. We are currently in the fifth wave, which alone began about 18 million years ago. She explains how each wave has advanced to the next and that through it all we have but one purpose, and that is to be reconnected to God in full consciousness through illumination.
Eternal Resources of Spirit (359-1 Sunday 4/7/1968)
Jesus went through the ordeal on the cross, not as a ritual, but in full consciousness. In becoming a Lord with the full investments of Christhood, He could become the Christ Regent. We too are on the way to our own Christship. We will never be Christ as our Lord is Christ Hierarch, but we must be vested with the Christ within us. Our work is to face our own initiations. We have three things to do in f acing initiations. We must know ourselves spiritually, know ourselves in the world, and know the world in ourselves. The first degree of initiation is the one of rebirth. The second degree of initiation is baptism with power. The third degree of initiation requires of us spiritual maturity. The fourth degree of initiation requires that we conquer for good ego and self love. The fifth degree of initiation takes one into mastership.

The Art of Cultivating and Controlling Thought Power (382-2 Sunday 2/16/1969)
Let this vine be in you, which was, and is, in Christ Jesus. This is the goal of evolution. This is our innermost aim to come to that state of consciousness wherein the highest in us thinks through us and uses us as its channels. Flower describes how meditation can help us refine our mental body, and emphasizes the importance of choosing our thoughts, words, activities, and relationships from a higher level. If we do this, you can be that one in your field of service that lifts the whole atmosphere into a more wholesome place in which to function, wherein greater brotherhood or sisterhood is realized, where thoughts of a constructive order are given precedence over discord.
Music is the Gateway into Divine Presence (396-1 Sunday 7/20/1969)
Flower explains music as a path to higher consciousness. Most persons feel it on the astral; can be used to cleanse heavy emotions. Can step into mental bodies and be analytical. We can step into our soul bodies; this is harder to do; when we listen with our causal body, instead of the music being out there, and we observers, we are instead participators. On causal level we are one with everything we appreciate, and therefore when hearing great music it sounds through one. Describes thought forms, colors and archetypes seen while listening to musical excerpts. Describes inner music at transition to inner worlds.
Reinforcements Can Be Spiritual (409-1 Sunday 2/1/1970)
This talk discusses how spiritual reinforcements can be used to help one progress spiritually. Flower gives specific examples of reinforcements that can activate one's faithin other words, put one's faith into action. She emphasizes the importance of doing this. Faith is that contact with the available Divine Presence. And when we possess faith it should never be inactive. It must always be active, so that it fills our first wonderful blessing, which is consciousness. Followed by 27 minutes of Q&A.

Describes evolution of consciousness in mankind, from earliest lives to present, then extends to future higher inner world states. Progression from body consciousness, self-consciousness, awakening (spiritual) consciousness. Describes sheaths formed around our God Inbeing, the Divine Knower. Most spiritual-minded persons stand today are filled with an awakening that there is God in whom they live and move and have their being. this outer form they see is but the smallest part of Being which they are, and that behind and within Being itself is the divine Indweller forever one with God the whole.
The Heart of Thanksgiving (443-1 Sunday 11/22/1970)
By gratitude, we purify ourselves, we humble ourselves. In Thanksgiving, we can appreciate illumination of the festival of rebirth that comes at Christmas. Flower discusses the first Thanksgiving with the Pilgrims, and other traditions in ancient Rome, and the Jewish tradition. Thanksgiving is the most glorious expression we can ray forth from the highest consciousness within us. When we express gratitude, the highest fires of the soul are lighted in us and they shine out with blessing, when we are genuine and give a benediction to the giver.
The Great Within (458-1 Sunday 4/18/1971)
We've been using only a fraction of what we may tune in to when we recognize what is here in consciousness to know. There are all kinds of varieties and degrees of consciousness. Different types include lower, higher, instinctive, feeling, and soulic consciousness. Ways to achieve soulic consciousness - cease to talk about limitations, or those things which we have formerly feared or dreaded. Instead, speak about and think about peace; the achievement of that state which needs no guardedness, no too great caution. We invite that state of consciousness which helps us to be attuned to capabilities.
After Death and Its Inner States (464-1 Sunday 5/30/1971)

The astral and mental worlds are also described, as well as the length of time one stays in each level. She speaks of when the soul is ready to incarnate and the help from the Kindle Archangel. The future gestational period for an incoming soul will take place in a test tube. This will be to eliminate any inherited disease. Look forward to death and strive to deserve it in a manner that will bring it to you while you are in full consciousness and with great joy.
Sacred Fire and its control: Kundalini & Chakras (468-1 Sunday 8/1/1971)
On every plane where consciousness is active we find the sacred flame burning brightly . This holy flame gives us our life force. It enables a couple to reproduce and bring forth children. It is responsible for the light, the beauty, and the vision that the artist possesses. It is the enlightenment within the mystic. It is the mastery given given to the adept.
The Persistent Challenge toward Spiritual Maturity (471-1 Sunday 9/12/1971)
In this talk, we are reminded that our goal as humanity is to become spiritually mature. In other words, to become masters. Flower says that spiritual maturity is being master-like. It is working upon the achievement of masterhood. It is taking up hour by hour, and day after day, our individual life work, which is the development and the unfoldment of spirituality, depth in consciousness, the improvement of intelligence, and a greater self-giving towards our world.

Life lessons are impressed on us by soul. Soul intuits reality in every situation. Gifts of the soul are listed. Finishes with Questions and Answers.
Reinforcing Centeredness Within (486-2 Sunday 1/16/1972)
States that centeredness is one of the cardinal qualities that each of us needs to attain; it is the means by which illumination comes. To be centered means that you are aligned to your real self, your soul. Gives examples of different approaches by which centeredness can be experienced anew. Reminds us that In spiritual living, faith needs to be ever fresh.; we must hunger for newness in our own approach. Describes Centering, a book by Mary Richards, as astonishing. Suggests having a symbol in your mind always that brings you as readily as possible to centeredness.
Stewardship's Blessings and Challenges: A Basic of the Spiritual Life (512-1 Sunday 8/20/1972)
In this talk on stewardship, the aspects of giving of our time, energies, and money in various ways is discussed. The importance of our attitudes, thoughts and motivations toward abundance are also pointed out. Flower says, that most persons think of stewardship only from the standpoint of money, but it also pertains to our time and our energies, and we need to be just as wise in our use of these two aspects as we are of the supply we are privileged to earn. It is negativity in consciousness and behavior that causes us to have a stoppage of force between the Divine and our outflow of good to the world.
Living for the Achievement of Alpha Waves (523-1 Sunday 1/28/1973)

She discusses the findings of scientists who have proven the reality of these higher states and shares many experiences different people have had while achieving the alpha waves of consciousness. Taking the Myths Out of Marriage (Part 2 of 2) (524-2 Sunday 2/18/1973)
As we think about the spiritual depths that we need to give marriage we should realize that there are assets and liabilities each of us takes into the marital relationship. Newhouse tells us that meditation is the most important thing we do and that contemplation, the very summit of our innermost practices, brings contact with the Supreme within and illumination. She speaks of being in the rarified atmosphere of the Divine where the soul exists and the flashes of inspiration which occur in that state. She describes how three layers of the alphabet came to her during contemplation and the use of them in names. In this talk on the unfolding of our minds and souls to a higher consciousness that connects us to the Divine, Flower describes the importance of using and developing our higher faculties. One visualization that she shares to help us do this is to keep before you a triangle, inside of which is the eye of God. The base of it is truth, one side of it is goodness and the other side is beauty. All of consciousness needs to express those three qualities, and wherever you find that done you will discover a beautiful consciousness.
