The Quest for Wholeness (093-2 Sunday 8/31/1958)
There is a growing acceptance of the power of spiritual healing. Illness can be cured when the person is treated holistically - mind, body, emotions, spirit. Examples of severe illnesses that were cured through spiritual means. Discusses the need for those giving healing prayers to be pure channels of healing energy.
Duty's Great Purpose (117-1 Sunday 9/13/1959)
Flower Newhouse teaches us the importance of living a purposeful, dedicated Christ-consecrated life. We have a duty to our parents, our children, our sisters and brothers, our husbands or wives, our friends, our spiritual family and a duty to God for the upliftment of mankind. If we fail to give service in these relationships, our penalties are compounded with interest and we will face a lack of caring similar to what we inflict on others. Our tendency is to rejoice in some relationships and evade others, but dharma, the principle of right selection, is the law for the evolving soul. When we grow in spiritual stature and understand duty we can no longer fail.
Studies in Progress (4 of 4): Progress through Karma and Dharma (132-1 Sunday 6/26/1960)
Flower explains the law of Karma and how it is applied in the continuity of life. She also explains the meaning of Dharma, 'the right selection of the best means for canceling out unpleasantness.' She gives examples of both karma and dharma at work in different person's lives. She also lists several well-known individuals who believe in reincarnation or the continuity of life.
Man's Duty Regarding the Law of Evolution (154-1 Sunday 6/11/1961)
This talk enlightens us to the esoteric interpretation of spiritual evolution beginning with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Flower explains how humanity is meant to evolve ever Godward, and the role karma has on our spiritual growth. She reveals two keywords to help us on our spiritual journey-acceptance and patience.
Determinism Versus Free Will (218-2 Sunday 3/24/1963)
We have free will to choose how we respond to life's challenges. We have sown seeds in the past which result in the harvest we experience now. Examples are given to illustrate how we can transcend karma and make our lives meaningful. The message is given to live our lives to the very last moment with determination to grow and improve constantly-meeting every situation with love.
Unknown Forces behind Strange Events (225-1 Sunday 6/9/1963)
Explanations of why unexplained things happen. Includes research and writings on paranormal events. People disappearing and never found again. Gives examples of many strange happenings that prove there is a fourth dimension.
In What Ways Will the Past Influence the Present? (260-1 Sunday 9/6/1964)
Flower gives excellent examples of people's problems and why they are having them in this lifetime; showing how the past does influence the present.
The Esoteric Side of the Taking and Keeping of Promises (271-2 Sunday 2/7/1965)
Flower first speaks about the importance of keeping one's word. She describes esoterically what occurs when we make a promise or pledge to ourselves, someone or something else. She tells us that those who are insincere have karmic consequences. Flower then shares spiritual impressions from different music numbers that a group of listeners responded to. Flower shares her own impressions along with those of the group. The talk concludes with a led meditation that pledges the participant to God.
The Esoteric Side of Freeing Oneself from Creating New Karma (272-2 Sunday 2/21/1965)
To be free of adverse karma we must work to overcome ourselves, desire to understand and grow from life's lessons and a desire to be part of the new. Flower described ways that we create new karma, rather than freeing it. Examples are given of ways to change negative habits into positive ones. Our present conditions are a result of our past actions. To end karma we must work out the old and not create it. Description of major and minor karma, and dharma. Cruelty to persons or animals brings disastrous circumstances. Spiritual healing and karma. New mental and astral bodies are created each lifetime.
Plausible Explanations Regarding Certain Enigmas (274-1 Sunday 3/21/1965)
Much of the material for this talk was taken from Frank Edwards book, Strange World. In regard to strange and scientifically unexplained earthly events, Flower shares possible spiritual explanations for these occurrences. From nature mysteries to 'boy wonders' she tells story after story of strange phenomena that have baffled mankind over the years. Let us appreciate it when it happens, but let it always remind us that the Creator who made us and this world and this cosmos is greater than any of His laws. And at any time He wishes He can supersede them, which He sometimes does to our amazement.
The Activity of Karma in our Daily Lives (315-1 Sunday 10/9/1966)
The most potent forms of transformation are the result of suffering and the willing acceptance of meeting whatever confronts us in a constructive way. Each day our actions are sowing seeds for the future. Of the sixty billion humans in existence only a small percentage incarnate at any one time. Division of masculine and feminine poles occurred about 25 million years ago, and ultimately they come together again and become androgynous. Describes the three kinds of karma. It is our Monad who needs the experience of growth, strengthening, conquest and mastery. Flower gave several examples of karmic relationships of people she counseled, including consequences of polygamy and polyandry. All healing is karmic.
The Law of Causation (416-1 Sunday 3/22/1970)
Flower shares principles to remember when tested. Man is the creator of his circumstances; we cannot receive what we have not caused; and, man comes of age spiritually when he recognizes the law of cause and effect. We should never be critical of others when they are being tested. A comparison given of assassinations of Jack Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln. Example of Edwin Booth (brother of John Wilkes Booth) saving the life of Robert Lincoln (Abraham Lincoln's son). Example of General Jackson saving the life of William McKinley during the Civil War. Example of Ribald Tilling, the German scientist who was killed by the robot bomb he invented.

The life and writings of Flower A. Newhouse are those of a Christian mystic, and her insights into the inner realms of life provide us with a path to wholeness that she called "Living the Life." These teachings are not doctrine, but a practical guide to the direct, immediate experience of God. Flower's mission was also to reawaken humanity to the reality of angels, a work she began with her first book in 1937, and added to in many published writings and in recorded lectures.
